26 STEPS
1. Go to https://powerschool.avhsd.org/public/, enter your username and password, and click the Sign In tab
2. To view your student's current grades and attendance, click Grades and Attendance tab. Review the attendance codes. A = Unverified absence
3. To view any dropped classes, click Show dropped classes also
4. Click the Grade History tab to view your student's prior courses and grades
5. Click on desired school year, for example 19-20 - SAAV
6. Click the Attendance History tab to view your student's attendance record for the current school year
7. Click on the Email Notification tab to manage yourparent account email preferences
8. Choose what information you want to receive, include additional emails, choose the frequency of notifications, and click the Submit tab
9. To view any posted teacher comments regarding your student's achievement or behavior, click the Teacher Comments tab
10. Click down arrow to choose reporting term
11. Click the School Bulletin tab to view school's posted messages
12. Click the Class Registration tab to manage course request
13. To view your student's lunch balance and fee transactions for the current term, click the Balance tab
14. Click the My Schedule tab to view your student's weekly schedule
15. Click the School Information tab to get the school address, phone numbers, and a school map
16. To view your student's exam scores click the Score Reports tab
17. Click down arrow to choose exam
18. Select exam, for example CAASPP (Math/ELA/Science)
19. Click on the down arrow to choose the year
20. Click view on the selected exam
21. Click the Account Preferences tab if you want to change your e-mail address, language preference, username, or password associated with your parent account
22. Make changes and click Save
23. Click the Family Connection tab to access college and career resources
24. Click the Schoolnet Test Results tab to access any available exam results
25. Click Help to get support with PowerSchool
26. Be sure to Sign Out when you are done
