The Palmdale High School Agriculture department is excited to share the incredible accomplishments of our Palmdale Future Farms of America (FFA) students at the 2025 AV Junior Livestock Show this past weekend!
Our students have dedicated months of hard work -- spending early mornings and late nights in the barn caring for their pigs, mastering their showmanship skills, and preparing for competition. Their hard work and heart truly paid off!
Market Swine Show Results - Friday, April 25th

- Class 4: Leilany Aguirre Delgado - 3rd Place, Isabel Lewinson - 4th place, Maryah Rizo - 5th Place
- Class 5: Deja Grimes - 1st Place, Esmeralda Avila - 6th Place
- Class 6: Landon Harris - 4th Place, Jonathan Peralta Rosales - 5th place

Novice Showmanship - A Full Sweep! (33 students competed in this division)

It was an unforgettable moment seeing the final round filled with only Palmdale FFA students!
Kids Feeding Kids Program
Special shoutout to Ya Niyla Medina and Ebony Moreno, who raised pigs for the Kids Feeding Kids program, providing nutritious pork to families in need. Their efforts were publicly recognized by the Livestock Council for their incredible community service!
What's Next?
Because of their outstanding achievements, Esmeralda Avila, Deja Grimes, Isabel Lewinson and Landon Harris have qualified for Master's Showmanship!
They will compete across all livestock species -- Lambs, Goats, Dairy Goats, Cattle, and Pigs for the title of Top Overall Showman! Come Cheer them on!

All of our students will be participating in the auction to sell their pig projects. We invite you to come out and support them as they complete their journey! If you're interested, you can also show your support by providing an add-on contribution to their project - every bit helps recognize their hard work and dedication!
